18 Jul Seeking community presence opportunities
Pro-family community,
Two ways you can help during the legislative off season: Back to school, fall festivals, family friendly venues, fundraising ideas, and or host an informational meeting.
- Setup an informational table. We’re seeking venues to set-up an ALFRA informational booth/table? Are you aware of any upcoming festivals or other family friendly venues in your area? If so, let us know. Family friendly Fall festivals and fairs are excellent venues to bring awareness about the benefits of shared parenting for children and families; and the Children’s Equal Access Act.
- Host an informational meeting in your area. With the recent success with the passage of the CEAA in the senate (25-4) it is easy to become complacent. But we must remember, the Children’s Equal Access Act stall in the House Committee due to misinformation and lack of understanding from many of the supporters themselves. Without the passage of the Children’s Equal Access Act during the 2020 legislative session approximately 40,000 more children will be placed at risk in the next 12-months. The Alabama Family Rights Association will continue to work harder in the next several months prior to the start of the February 4, 2020 legislative session and never get complacent. Will you join our efforts? Consider scheduling and hosting an informational meeting in your area. Click here to learn how to get started.
