The Father Of Today’s Child
Support Public Policy, His Personal Exploitation Of The System, And The
Fallacy Of His "Income Shares" Model Major Issues with "Alabama Rule 32" Child Support Guidelines: ALFRA commissioned R. Mark Rogers Economic Consulting to Study Alabama's Child Support Guidelines ("Alabama Rule 32"). Read "A Brief Summary of the Economic Issues and Compliance Needs for Alabama's Child Support Guideline Review" written and used with permission by R. Mark Rogers. You may also peruse "Legal Requirements for the Review of Child Support Guidelines by the State of Alabama" written and used with permission by John Remington Graham. These documents clearly outline the serious deficiencies and problems with the Child Support Guidelines a.k.a. "Alabama Rule 32" as it has been implemented and as it stands in Alabama today! ALFRA was there representing you! ALFRA was well represented at the public meetings. Many members of the Committee were touched with the testimony provided by those directly affected by their decisions. It was evident by watching some of their faces that this might have been the FIRST TIME they had encountered some of the emotional pain and hardship the system they administer creates. Mark Rogers' professionalism and the manner in which he answered the Committee got their attention. The Committee knew that he was an EXPERT and knew that ALABAMA WOULD NOT BE IN COMPLIANCE with Federal Law if they acted on PSI's recommendation. The Committee said this matter would require a lot more time than that one afternoon and scheduled another meeting for April 19th, 2004. Be there!
