10 May LET YOUR VOICE, YOUR VOTE, COUNT!
Here’s several ways Alabamians can help make a positive change for children and families during the election season? Vote during the PRIMARY ELECTION – June 5th.
1. Check your registration status and see your political districts
2. Identify the candidate in your voting districts:
- You can access the 2018 Primary Election Sample Ballots here.
3. Vet the candidate before June 5. Please be informed before you have a say in the future of our children.
- Reading candidates push cards are nice but also present your issues and concerns to the candidates.
- Beware of candidates that are unwilling to sit down and answer your questions or questionnaire.
- Voting for someone just because you identify as a Republican/Democrat is not smart.
- Don’t vote for someone just because your friends or family support them or they are affiliated with a mutual organization or football team.
4. Vote during the June 5th primary election. (Note: Definition of insanity during a primary election – Not voting for an elected position in the PRIMARY ELECTION because there is not a candidate for your party affiliation).
Two takeaways:
- If you are not registered to vote, you can’t vote during the Primary Election. (The last day to register to vote for the June 5th primary election is Monday, May 21, 2018)
- If you don’t vote, please don’t complain.
